From Zurich, you travel south by bus with a tour guide. Along the way, you’ll learn about Switzerland’s history and rich traditions in an entertaining and informative way.
The first stop is the charming city of Lucerne. A short orientation drive introduces you to the main sights. Afterwards, you can explore the city on foot at your own pace. Then the journey continues to the idyllic alpine village of Engelberg.
From Engelberg, the state-of-the-art Titlis Xpress gondola takes you up to the peak of this iconic mountain. There you'll enjoy an incredible view of Switzerland’s world-famous Alpine panorama.
The unique rotating Titlis cable car (called Rotair) offers views deep into glacier crevasses, snow-covered peaks, and distant mountain ranges. In the glacier grotto, you get even closer to the eternal ice. The Ice Flyer chairlift takes you to the glacier park, where more thrilling activities await. For example, Europe’s highest suspension bridge, known as the Cliff Walk, is a major attraction.
After all these alpine adventures, you return to Zurich by coach late in the afternoon.
Practical Information:
If you spend more time in Zurich, you'll probably want to explore the city itself as well. Visiting the Grossmünster is definitely worth it. Many people don’t realize that you can actually climb one of the two towers of this impressive church. Take the narrow spiral staircase up to the top and enjoy the unique view over the city from there.
June to August: The old mountain station is being demolished, but attractions like the IceFlyer chairlift, CliffWalk suspension bridge, ice cave, and glacier park are open (weather permitting).
Mid August to mid December: The new mountain station is under construction, the Rotair cable car is out of service, access to the Titlis summit is via the Titlis Connect cable car (non-rotating).
Mid August until further notice: Visit the summit (about 1 hour stay, no restaurant available), then descend to the Trübsee middle station (about 1 hour stay, restaurants available)

The tour was very well organised and our guides Eva and Angela were extremely helpful. Only one suggestion: the tags can be made more sturdy for better identification.
