Description
The stunning trip across Lake Lucerne is one of the most beautiful boat journeys in Switzerland. You start at the Bahnhofquai in Lucerne and sail past the Rigi, Seelisberg with the Rütli Meadow, and the Klingenstock.
After about three hours, you arrive in Flüelen at the southern end of the lake. The docking points are chosen so you can experience the area's scenic diversity and cultural history up close. Once you arrive in Flüelen, you’re just a few steps from the train station.

Traveling with dogs
- Taking small dogs up to 30 cm is free as long as they stay in a transport container for the entire time. This container must fit under your seat.
- Dogs without a container and any dogs over 30 cm in shoulder height need a valid dog ticket: half the price of a second class ticket or the minimum fare (dog day pass, dog pass). They must sit under the seat so the aisle remains clear for other travelers.
Swiss Activities Tips
The return trip from Lucerne to Flüelen is more expensive than a day pass for Lake Lucerne. Therefore, we recommend that you buy the day pass for your planned return trip.
