With a comfortable coach, the journey goes from Zurich to the beautiful northern part of Switzerland. On one leg of the Grand Tour of Switzerland, the journey takes you through a beautiful wine-growing region with charming farming villages. On the way, the multilingual tour guide will tell you a lot about Swiss history and culture.
Not far from the German border, the medieval castle of Laufen towers high above the Rhine Falls. From here you can take the panoramic lift down to the waterfall. The panorama path Belvedere leads you to the viewing platform "Känzeli", directly at the water. On an optional boat trip you can feel the spray of the water on your skin (only in summer).
The Rhine Falls is one of the most famous and certainly one of the most impressive tourist attractions in Switzerland. 700,000 liters of water thunder here on average per second into the 150 meter wide basin. After a one-hour stopover, we continue via Schaffhausen with its round Munot fortress to Stein am Rhein
The medieval town is very well preserved and impresses with its many well-kept half-timbered houses. The filigree wooden windows and extraordinary facade paintings are very impressive. During a walking tour you will learn interesting facts about Stein am Rhein and visit the most important sights. You should not miss the "Haus zum Weissen Adler". The building is decorated with frescoes, which is considered the oldest preserved Renaissance facade painting in Switzerland.
After some free time in Stein am Rhein you will return to your starting point in Zurich.
Duration 5 ¼ hours
Important information The boat trip at the Rhine Falls is only possible in summer and not included in the price (CHF 10 per adult, CHF 5 per child)
