Golden Hour Mountain Biking Tour to Lake Thun from Interlaken

The "Golden Hour Social Bike Tour" starts at the Yellow Velo Shop in Interlaken and takes you along the turquoise Aare River through forests and meadows. After about 11 km, you'll reach Lake Thun, where you can enjoy the sunset with a drink and snacks.

There's also an optional dip in the cool water for some refreshment. The return journey will take you back to Interlaken through old forests and alongside the Lombach River. The route consists of well-paved asphalt roads and gravel paths with an elevation gain of about 50 meters.

Practical Information:

• The meeting point is just a 5-minute walk from Interlaken West train station.
• At the shop, you can buy sunscreen, sunglasses, and water bottles.
• You can store your luggage in a secure area.

If you feel like grabbing a bite afterward, you can visit Hüsi Bierhaus, which is right near the Yellow Velo shop, any day except Tuesday starting from noon. They serve spare ribs, schnitzels, bratwurst, and other hearty dishes.
