Llama and Alpaca Walk including Snack

The llama and alpaca walk takes place for two or more people. It offers an unforgettable nature experience in Meikirch near Bern. During the walk, each participant can lead their own animal if they wish. This creates a special bond between human and animal.

At each walk, at least two animals are always led. The gentle and curious animals create a relaxed atmosphere and quickly allow you to forget everyday stress.

The provider suggests walking routes and recommends inexperienced alpaca walkers to plan for a duration between 2 and 4 hours.

In principle, alpacas are very uncomplicated animals. So you do not need any special requirements when going for a walk with alpacas.

• A walk with alpacas is generally a relaxed affair – so bring some time and don't plan too ambitious a route.
• Alpacas are generally not cuddly or riding animals, but they can be petted. Don't force yourself on the animals and keep a bit of distance.
• Alpacas generally dislike dogs: So, it's better to leave your four-legged friend at home or keep it on a leash.
• Alpacas are herd animals. Therefore, they cannot be rented out individually. At least two animals should be on a walk together.
• The alpaca walk usually takes place without the provider's accompaniment. However, someone is happy to join for the first few steps.
• Before you set off, you will receive a brief instruction.
