Aare tubing for 2-4 people: Rent a raft

You're renting an inflatable boat for a little trip on the Aare with a small group. Floating on the Aare is one of the most popular summer activities in Switzerland. The stretch from Thun to Bern is one of the best known.

The classic route runs from Uttigen to Bern and takes about 2.5 hours. You just let the river carry you along while enjoying views of meadows and mountains.

Practical information for your packing list:

• Sunscreen: Don't forget it, even if it's cloudy
• Drinking water: You can get dehydrated more quickly when you're on the water
• Sun protection: Hat, sunglasses (secure with a strap!), light t-shirt
• Snacks & food: Energy-packed snacks and a light picnic
• Towel and change of clothes: Especially nice after the trip
• Swimwear and water shoes: Non-slip shoes make getting in and out easier
• Waterproof phone case: Optional, but handy for photos on the go
• Picnic blanket: For relaxed breaks on river meadows
• Trash bag: Please take everything back with you – for a clean Aare

• Minimum age: 8 years
• Raft is suitable for 2 to 4 people
• The equipment must be returned by 6:00 PM at the endpoint (Camping Eichholz, Strandweg 49, 3084 Wabern near Bern)
• Dogs are not allowed
