Aare boat trip for 4-6 people: Rent a raft

You rent an inflatable boat for a group outing on the Aare. Boating is one of the most popular summer activities in Switzerland. The stretch from Thun to Bern is one of the most well-known routes.

The classic route runs from Uttigen to Bern and takes about 2.5 hours. You’ll just let the river carry you along while enjoying the views of meadows and mountains.

Practical Packing Information:

• Sunscreen: Don’t forget it even on cloudy days
• Drinking water: You can get dehydrated faster on the water
• Sun protection: Hat, sunglasses (secure them with a strap!), lightweight T-shirt
• Snacks & provisions: Energy-rich snacks and a light picnic
• Towel and change of clothes: Especially nice after the tour
• Swimwear and water shoes: Slip-resistant shoes make getting in and out easier
• Waterproof phone case: Optional, but handy for photos on the go
• Picnic blanket: For relaxing breaks by the riverside
• Trash bag: Please take everything back with you – for a clean Aare

• All equipment must be returned by 6:00 PM at the endpoint (Camping Eichholz, Strandweg 49, 3084 Wabern near Bern)
