Aare trip between Solothurn and Biel by boat

With this boat ticket, you travel from Solothurn to Biel or from Biel to Solothurn along the Aare. Along the way, you'll pass the Stork Village Altreu, home to the largest stork colony in Switzerland with over 40 breeding pairs. You'll also see charming historic sites such as Büren. The wooden bridge there is particularly impressive. A special highlight is the lock cruise in Port.

The journey by boat takes approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes. It only operates during the summer half-year.

You can make a stop in Altreu and visit Switzerland's largest stork colony. More than 40 breeding pairs reside on many house roofs and tall trees in Altreu.

Suitable for strollers

• Small dogs up to 30 cm carrying is free of charge if they stay in a transport container throughout the journey. This must be placed underneath your seat.
• Dogs without containers and all dogs over 30 cm shoulder height require a valid dog ticket: half price for second class or the minimum fare (dog day ticket, dog pass). They must sit beneath the seat to avoid blocking the passage for other travellers.
