Weggis lies at the southwestern foot of the Rigi by Lake Lucerne and has around 4,600 residents. The mild, almost Mediterranean climate allows for the growth of palm trees, chestnuts, and grapevines. The town is often referred to as the "Riviera of Central Switzerland." From here, you have an idyllic view of the lake and mountains. “Great facilities- friendly staff . We got the cog wheel train from Vitznau to the Kaltbad and then hiked up to the Rigi Klum. We had lunch there and then hiked back to the KaltbadSpa. It was so relaxing after the hi out .”
