The Rotenflue is located in the Mythen region near Schwyz. It reaches 1571 m above sea level and can be reached in 18 minutes with the Rotenflue cable car from Rickenbach. The Gipfelstubli restaurant is located next to the mountain station. The Rotenflue is a very popular starting point for hikes up the Gross Mythen (1898 m above sea level). An easy 30-minute walk (T1) takes you to the Holzegg pass. This is where the mountain trail (T3) to the Grossen Mythen begins, which is accessible in summer. This involves overcoming 500 meters of altitude in 47 steep hairpin bends.
