Description
On this e-bike tour, you'll ride from Interlaken through the Kandertal valley into the Kiental and onwards to Griesalp. Along the way, you'll cross rivers, forests, and villages while enjoying stunning views of the towering Bernese peaks. The route follows the steep post bus road into the UNESCO-protected Kiental, featuring waterfalls and dramatic rock faces.
At Griesalp, immerse yourself in the alpine scenery with mountain pastures, mountain streams, and views of the Blüemlisalp massif. Depending on the tour, there’s time for a break at a mountain inn or a short hike nearby. Thanks to e-bike assistance, you can tackle long climbs more easily and fully focus on the nature and the views.

Kiental is the starting point of the tour. You can get picked up at the following locations:

Route
- 8:00 – 8:20 AM Pickup from one of the designated meeting points in the Interlaken area.
- 8:20 – 9:00 AM Meet your tour guide and head by minibus (with bicycles) towards Kiental, where your adventure begins.
- 9:00 – 9:30 AM Get familiar with the e-bike, choose your helmet, and receive a brief introduction before starting the ride.
- 9:30 AM – 1:00 PM The ride takes you through the idyllic Kiental valley along the Kiene river to the unique alpine lake Tschingelsee. Surrounded by imposing peaks and picturesque waterfalls like Gwindlibachfall and Dündenfall, this route offers countless photo opportunities. You’ll then climb the famous Postauto route, Europe’s steepest public road, with short scenic stops on the way to Griesalp.
- 1:00 – 2:00 PM Lunch break at the charming mountain restaurant Golderli or enjoy a peaceful picnic in the nearby nature.
- 2:00 – 3:30 PM Explore the valley beyond Griesalp with views of glaciers and peaks over 3000 m high, like the Blüemlisalp. Enjoy a relaxed ride, stop for a tasting of fresh alpine cheese at a farm, and soak in the wild alpine atmosphere.
- Around 4:30 PM Return to Interlaken.
- Total distance: 27 km. Private tours can be adjusted during the trip.
