Flums

Flums has about 5000 inhabitants and includes the areas Flums-Dorf, Flums-Grossberg and Flums-Kleinberg. The village is located in the Schils valley, which takes its name from the continuous 16 km long river Schils. Flums is best known for the Flumserberg. This is a popular hiking and skiing area. The Flumserberg is served by 5 mountain railroads, and in winter there are another 12 lifts. 65 km of ski slopes are included in the Flumserberg ski area. A cultural asset of the village is the Gräpplang Castle. It was built by the knights of Flums in the 13th century.

“The mountain railway left right when we arrived, a very charming old two-seater gondola equipped with blankets. The snowshoes and poles were adjusted for us, and then we headed off the pistes into the snow. A wonderful tour. We (both fairly sporty) completed the long tour (7.8 km), including a short detour to a nearby ridge, in just over 2 hours. The cheese fondue was delicious, and the table was reserved for us all afternoon.”

The Fitpass gives you unlimited access to more than 400 sports facilities in Switzerland. So you can practise numerous sports or try out new ones.
