Biel
Biel is located in the Three Lakes Region at the northeastern end of Lake Biel. The city is the largest bilingual city in Switzerland. German and French are spoken here. Since large parts of the city are undercut by groundwater, many houses stand on stilts. The medieval old town with the old Roman spring is well worth seeing. What sights and attractions does Biel have to offer?
The old town of Biel is worth seeing with its old guild houses, more than 100 beautiful fountains and the Ring. The Ring is the oldest square in the city. The old Roman fountain is also very popular.
