“A trip worth taking! The short hike was easy and pleasant. Marc is very friendly and explained to us how to handle the animals really well. We had a lot of fun and definitely want to come back!”
Appenzell
Appenzell is the capital of the canton Appenzell Innerrhoden. The traditional village is the tourist center of the Appenzellerland. Popular destinations from Appenzell are the Wildkirchli cave, the world famous mountain restaurant Äscher, the Ebenalp and the crystal clear Seealpsee. You can reach the Äscher from the Ebenalp mountain station in about 15 minutes on foot. Appenzell is popular as a starting point for hikes to explore the Alpstein region from the north. Agriculture, animal husbandry, yodeling, peasant painting and other handicrafts are typical of the village and its surroundings. Colorfully painted wooden houses make for a distinctive village image.
