The Säntispark is a large recreation center covering a total area of 18,700 m². You can take care of your body, mind, and soul here. Whether you're looking for action-packed slide experiences or prefer to relax in the wellness area: Säntispark has the right offer for everyone. Sporty individuals can choose from several options on site. Both fitness and team sports like squash or badminton are available.

About 2km north, on Gründenstrasse, you'll find the associated Gründenmoos Rope Park: It has 7 courses with grip heights starting from 160 cm.

Slides at Säntispark

The slide world at Säntispark guarantees action and fun for both young and old. As a guest, you can choose from 8 different slides, reaching up to 180 m in length. Let yourself be fascinated by the impressive experience world. Light and sound effects are included.

Water Slides at the Slide Tower in Säntispark

• Starry Rush Slide: The slide is 125 m long in total and suitable for slide fans from 6 years old. It takes you through the magical dark with starry sky.
• Ice Channel Slide: You can slide down the ice channel 180 m with airy tires. It is open for everyone from 7 years old.
• Super G Slide: This slide for ages 7 and up has a double whammy. It goes down 120 m on a parallel tire slide with lots of fun.
• Wildbach Slide: Like a raging torrent, the slide has been built 155 m long for children 8 years and older.
• Wildwater Canyon Slide: Moving and wild waves take you 110 meters. Whitewater is accessible for visitors from 8 years old.
• Whirlwind Slide: You slide down 90 m in a bowl and swirling water. The whirlwind is open for everyone from 10 years.
• Säntis Pipe Slide: The Säntis Pipe is legendary. If you take a seat in the tire here, you'll feel like you're riding on the water in a half pipe as you whiz down! The action and fun factor is guaranteed for ages 10 and up
• Fall slide: Here you can prove your courage, because this illuminated slide channel lets you off into free fall. The slide fun is accessible for the brave from 12 years.

Pools in Säntispark

For those who prefer a more tranquil atmosphere, we recommend the impressively designed bathing landscape in both indoor and outdoor areas. A highlight is certainly the wave pool surrounded by natural stone with an imitated surf zone.

• Wave Pool: The wave pool is one of the central baths with a surf zone and water fountain. You can ride the waves here every hour on the hour. Alternatively, you can grab one of the relaxation loungers located around the pool and watch the action from there. The snake slide also leads into the pool and is allowed for children from 2 years old.
• Children's Swimming World: Here, toddlers can entertain themselves under a water rainbow, on floating logs, and with a play stream. For children aged 2 years and older, there are the sky slide and the wide slide to try out.
• Outdoor Adventure Pool: A large current channel provides plenty of action. Various whirlpool options and massage jets offer relaxation. All of this is accompanied by a fascinating light show.
• Saltwater Bath in Indoor and Outdoor Areas: The healing bath with a salt source has a water temperature of 34 degrees and various massage jets.

Wellness in the Säntispark

The wellness world and sauna area at Säntispark will leave nothing to be desired. You can relax in the spa area with an individually selected massage, which you book in advance with your ticket. Or you can decide to sweat properly and healthily in the various indoor or outdoor saunas.

• Sole Bath and Whirlpool: The brine bath is located in the main area of the water park and offers you a very good physical relaxation at a pleasant 34 degrees. You can use the brine bath indoors and outdoors. Outside there is also a whirlpool with massage jets. The bath and the whirlpool are included in the entrance fee.
• Roman Irish Bath: This bath is just right for boosting your immune system. There are 12 stations where you can enjoy hot air baths and pleasant rest. We recommend you to make a reservation in advance. The bath is not included in the entrance fee.
• PrivateSpa: PrivatSpa is for those who like it luxurious and want to be pampered with an individual spa offer for a day on 100 square meters. The offer includes an experience shower, a Finnish sauna, a steam bath and a whirlpool. Advance reservations are required for the PrivatSpa. The spa is not included in the entrance fee.
• Massage offer: Choose between a classic or aroma oil massage here. Exclusive recommendation: the Thai massage, which uses herbal stamps to relieve your tension. Reservation by phone only. The massage offer costs extra and is not included in the entrance fee.

On the 1st floor of Säntispark you will find your own fitness area with a view of the water landscape. The studio itself has a large equipment area where you can complete your workout program. Massage and physiotherapeutic services can be booked directly through the studio.

• Bowling Restaurant: You can find this restaurant in the sports lounge. Here, you can choose from various snacks and refreshing drinks.
• Beizli in the Bath: The Beizli offers drinks and snacks via self-service machines for a quick break in between. The costs are charged to the chip bracelet, and you pay upon exiting.
• Room for your Picnic: Those who prefer to bring their own meals and enjoy them on-site can do so in the picnic room, located between the wave pool and the saltwater pool.
• Bistro Bath: The new bistro offers delicious dishes such as hamburgers, fries, or pasta. The entrance to Bistro Bath is located behind the wave pool. You can pay easily and conveniently with the chip bracelet.
• Migros Restaurant: Here, you’ll find a wide selection of dishes and drinks, various daily specials, as well as coffee and cake.

The leisure center Säntispark is located in the municipality of Abtwil, next to the city of St. Gallen. The park is named after a mountain in the Alpstein range, which is a chain of mountains in the cantons of Appenzell Ausserrhoden, Appenzell Innerrhoden, and St. Gallen. At 2502 m above sea level, Säntis is the highest peak in the range.

by car

From Zurich to Abtwil, it's an 80 km drive. From Zurich, take the A1 towards St. Gallen. Then take the exit for Winkeln/Abtwil. Right at the entrance to the town, you can see the entrance to Säntispark on the right. The parking spots are indicated by signage on-site.

The associated rope park on Gründenstrasse is just 2 km to the north via Kreuzbühlstrasse.

by public transport

By train, you can reach Abtwil from Zurich in just over 1 hour and 30 minutes. Take the train from Zurich directly to St. Gallen. From there, bus number 3 or 4 will take you to the Säntispark stop. The leisure center is just a 190 m walk from the bus stop, which takes about 2 minutes.

To make sure you fully enjoy your time at Säntispark, here are some useful tips for you.

Things to keep in mind

• Children under 12 years old may only enter the pool when accompanied by an adult.
• Appointments for massages are usually booked up quickly on weekends. We recommend reserving your appointment online in advance.
• For privacy reasons, filming in the pool area with phones or cameras is not allowed.
• Floatation aids like armbands are not permitted on the slides.

What you should bring

• For the pool: swimwear, towel, and flip-flops.
• Bath towels can also be rented on-site.
• For the sports area: sports gear and badminton or squash rackets.

Additional practical information

• Säntispark is open 365 days a year.
• If you buy a 10-entry ticket, you get the 11th entry for free.
• Birthday kids (and adults) receive free admission to the pool on their birthday.
