Beatenberg

Beatenberg is situated above Lake Thun on a sunny terrace. The view of the lake and mountains is particularly beautiful and the wind conditions here are ideal for paragliding. You can see the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau very well from Beatenberg. Popular destinations in Beatenberg are the Niederhorn and the Beatus caves. At the Beatus caves is the now closed pilgrimage chapel "St. Batten", which was a famous place of pilgrimage for centuries. Below the caves runs the Way of St. James between Thun and Interlaken. “I decided to do this after seeing the paragliders land in Interlaken, and i was on my first solo trip so thought why not! I was nervous beforehand, but my pilot, Robin, put me at ease and was very kind. It’s actually a peaceful experience (we did do one fun trick which i loved, and you can ask for more if you want a thrill), and the views are incredible. We flew for quite a long time due to the thermals. I recommend to anyone :) no experience needed!”

The Fitpass gives you unlimited access to more than 400 sports facilities in Switzerland. So you can practise numerous sports or try out new ones.
