The Monte Brè funicular at a glance Monte Brè, right by Lugano, is considered Switzerland's sunniest mountain. Since 1908, the funicular has linked the city with the 933-metre summit. The journey takes around 15 minutes. Once at the top, you can take a walk to the picturesque village of Brè. If you prefer to take it easy, sit down in a restaurant or enjoy the view.
