Effingen is located on the western Bözberg and belongs to the municipality of Böztal in the Jurapark Aargau. On three sides of the village, the hills rise gently to the Table Jura. In the popular recreation area of the Jurapark you can go hiking or cycling. Near Effingen there has been winegrowing again since the 1970s.
