Eglisau
Eglisau is located in the Zurich canton right by the Rhine, close to the German border. The historic old town with its timber-framed houses is definitely worth a visit. In the surrounding area, you'll find vineyards, forests, and cycling paths along the river. Two bridges cross the Rhine and define the city. The railway bridge from 1897 spans the river with a length of 457 m and a height of 50 m. The stone road bridge was built in 1919. Leisure activities like swimming, hiking, and boating make Eglisau appealing. Numerous festivals and markets liven up the historic town center.

Most of the cable staff were confused with this app/ticket, only one out of six knew to scan the QR code with a different app, the rest let us through the barrier with a couple of them saying we should have had a paper or different sort of ticket. No extra cost etc. but be warned. Waitress in the restaurant didn't recognise the ticket either so had to check with a manager but all good in the end. Meat and cheese board for 2 people as expected - four different ones of each, a couple of pieces of cheese, four slices of each meat.”
