Von Linthal über das autofreien Bergdorf Braunwald mit seinen Alphütten, die verstreut in den sonnenverwöhnten Hängen liegen, geht es hinauf zum Oberblegisee am Fusse des Glärnisch. Der sagenumwobene See ohne sichtbaren Abfluss gehört zu den schönsten Bergseen der Schweiz.
