Buochs
Buochs is a municipality in the canton of Nidwalden at 435 m above sea level, located on the southern shore of Lake Lucerne. To the south of it lies the Buochserhorn, a peak in the Uri Alps at 1806 m above sea level. From this free-standing mountain, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Lake Lucerne and the mountains of the Pre-Alps to the north. To the south, you can see the Central Swiss Alps. Buochs has several houses and chapels worth seeing. These include the Nothelferkapelle St. Sebastian and the Obgasskapelle Sieben Schmerzen Mariä.
