Appenzell

Appenzell is the capital of the canton Appenzell Innerrhoden. The traditional village is the tourist center of the Appenzellerland. Popular destinations from Appenzell are the Wildkirchli cave, the world famous mountain restaurant Äscher, the Ebenalp and the crystal clear Seealpsee. You can reach the Äscher from the Ebenalp mountain station in about 15 minutes on foot. Appenzell is popular as a starting point for hikes to explore the Alpstein region from the north. Agriculture, animal husbandry, yodeling, peasant painting and other handicrafts are typical of the village and its surroundings. Colorfully painted wooden houses make for a distinctive village image. The Fitpass gives you unlimited access to more than 400 sports facilities in Switzerland. So you can practise numerous sports or try out new ones. The Fitpass is like a GA travelcard for sport, fitness and wellness. You can buy the pass for a week, a month or a whole year. You remain flexible with a six-month subscription. You can interrupt it if you fall ill or have to go abroad. Incidentally, many health insurance companies in Switzerland contribute to the cost of the Fitpass.
