Gornergrat Bahn ticket from Zermatt

Take the Gornergrat Railway from Zermatt to the Gornergrat and enjoy the breathtaking views of the Matterhorn and the surrounding peaks. The cog railway takes you up to over 3,100 m above sea level. During the spectacular train ride, you'll pass alpine lakes, gorges, over bridges, through tunnels and forests.

Alongside the Matterhorn you'll also marvel at 28 more magnificent four-thousanders and see how the glaciers are changing. Also, the departure point Zermatt is one of Switzerland's most famous places!

• Zermatt (Gornergrat Bahn): valley station in Zermatt at about 1605 m a.s.l.
• Findelbach: first intermediate station at around 1770 m a.s.l.
• Riffelalp: second intermediate station at around 2211 m a.s.l.
• Riffelberg: third intermediate station at around 2582 m a.s.l.
• Rotenboden: fourth intermediate station at around 2815 m a.s.l.
• Gornergrat: terminus at 3089 m a.s.l. Here you can enjoy the wonderful view of the Swiss Alps, including the Matterhorn. You'll ascend nearly 1500 metres to reach it.

The ticket is valid once for each segment. So you can also alight at one of the intermediate stops Rotenboden, Riffelberg or Riffelalp and later in the day hop back on and continue your journey.

The 'Zooom the Matterhorn' experience world is also included with the ticket. On the Gornergrat, beside the Kulmhotel, you can try a variety of installations, such as a paragliding flight simulator, a 3D cinema, or periscopes aimed at the Matterhorn!
