Description
The Gemmi cable car runs every 30 minutes from Leukerbad to the Gemmi Pass. On the way, you have a beautiful panoramic view of the highest Swiss mountains. You can see the Matterhorn and the Weisshorn chain. Behind it, you can also see the Monte Rosa group and the Mischabel group. The other side shows the Bernese Alps, which are no less beautiful.
The aerial cableway runs every 10 minutes when there are large crowds.
In winter, you can go sledging, snowshoeing or winter hiking on the Gemmi. In the summer months you can go mountain biking, climbing or hiking. Easy hikes or challenging mountain tours: everything is possible here. With a bit of luck, you might even spot bearded vultures.

February is a holiday month in Switzerland, so I won’t be booking any more holidays during this time because everything gets too crowded. Up at the Gemmi, unfortunately, you can only go downhill or uphill to Lake Daubensee either with or without the cable car; there’s nothing else. But the view from the Gemmi restaurant was amazing.
