Description
The geological journey through time in the Glacier Garden leads past the glacier pots through the new rock world into the interior of the mountain. There, the Lucerne sandstone begins to tell its story and reveal its secrets - from its formation on the seashore, to its folding into the Alpine mountains, its shaping during the ice ages and the present, the center of time. Climbing back up to the light via a futuristic staircase construction, visitors are treated to a view over Lucerne and as far as the Alps.
The search game "Lily & Börni" enables children and families to discover the glacier garden in a playful and interactive way.
The glacier garden is complemented by:
- Sandstone pavilion with temporary special exhibitions and glacier garden film
- Mirror labyrinth
- Schweizerhaus: museum with original collector's items from the founding family
