  • The train runs in the rain. Services may be cancelled if passenger numbers are too low due to bad weather or if safety cannot be guaranteed.
  • When passenger numbers are high or a steam locomotive breaks down, the railway may use a diesel locomotive instead.
  • The locomotive can be very loud at times. The railway recommends hearing protection for noise-sensitive passengers and families with young children.
  • Dogs are welcome. A dog ticket costs CHF 10.00 and is only available from the ticket office in Brienz.
  • Passengers using manual wheelchairs can be carried by prior arrangement. Electric wheelchairs and oversized wheelchairs cannot be carried.
