The Adventsdorf (Advent village) in Olten takes place for the sixth time in 2026, from 28 November to 20 December in the town centre around Kirchgasse. It includes over 66 chalets with changing vendors, a 107 m toboggan run and an artificial ice rink; the Flying Santa arrives every day at 18:00. The market is open Mon–Fri 15:00–21:00, Sat 11:00–21:00 and Sun 11:00–20:00, and admission is free.

A Christmas village in the town centre with over 66 chalets whose vendors change daily and weekly. Also on offer are a toboggan run with tubes, an artificial ice rink, curling, a children's carousel, a little train and candle dipping. Every day at 18:00 St Nicholas flies over Kirchgasse into the village as the Flying Santa.

Free parking on Sundays
During the Advent village, parking on the Schützenmatte and at the Hausmattrain is free on Sundays.

The Christmas bakery is open Mon–Fri 15:00–18:00 and Sat/Sun 13:00–16:00; book slots online. A baby-changing hut stands next to the toboggan run.
Without a car
From Olten station along the Aare and across the old wooden bridge into the old town, about 10 minutes on foot.
