Lindau Christmas Market 2026

The Lindau Hafenweihnacht runs from 26 November to 20 December 2026 on the harbour promenade of the Lindauer Insel, always Thursday to Sunday from 11:00 to 21:00. From Monday to Wednesday the market is closed. The stalls look across the harbour with the lion and the lighthouse to Lake Constance and the Alps, and on the lakeside promenade there is a fairy-tale forest with real animals. The Inselbahnhof is a few metres from the entrance, and the ships dock right at the market.

Harbour promenade, Lindau island · around 90 stalls
Around 90 stalls line the harbour promenade between the Inselbahnhof, the Mangturm and the Old Town Hall. According to the town, the motto is «quality rather than quantity»: lots of fair-trade and regional products, plus Lindau apple fritters, roasted chestnuts and mulled wine with a view of the harbour entrance.

Better to leave dogs at home
The town asks people not to bring dogs because of the crowds, the music and obstacles on the ground.
Getting there without a car
There is parking only on the mainland (P1, P2, Reutin). Trains, city buses and ships stop right at the market.
How to get there
- The Inselbahnhof Lindau is a few metres from the entrance, and the city bus and ships stop right at the market. Coaches drop their passengers off in front of the Inselhalle on Therese-von-Bayern-Platz, from where it is about a 10-minute walk.
