Konstanz Christmas Market 2026

The Weihnachtsmarkt am See (Christmas market on the lake) in Konstanz runs from 26 November to 23 December 2026. Over 170 huts stand from the Marktstätte along the harbour to the Stadtgarten, with a view of Lake Constance, the Alps and the Imperia statue. It is open daily from 11:00, the stalls until 20:00, on Fridays and Saturdays until 21:30; many food and drink stalls stay open every day until 21:30. The main station is right next to the market.

Marktstätte, lakeshore/harbour and Stadtgarten · over 170 huts
The huts line up from the Marktstätte at the harbour along to the Stadtgarten. Besides ceramics, woodwork, jewellery and beeswax candles there are winter clothes and food; on weekends, school classes and clubs from Konstanz sell home-baked goods.

On Sunday 6 December St Nicholas comes to the market from 11:00.
Deposit on cups and plates
Hot drinks come in cups with a 2 euro deposit, food on reusable crockery with a 3 euro deposit. You can return them at any food and drink stall.
How to get there
- Konstanz main station is right on the Marktstätte, and the market begins a few steps from the exit. Coaches let their passengers off at the turning circle by the harbour master's office, from where it is a walk to the market.
