Aigle

Aigle is a charming town in the canton of Vaud, located in the Rhone Valley. It is surrounded by the majestic Alps and the vineyards of the Chablais. The town is famous for the Château d'Aigle. It now houses the wine museum and provides an insight into the regional winegrowing tradition. Another highlight is the historic town center with its well-preserved buildings and narrow alleyways, which are perfect for a stroll. Aigle serves as a starting point for numerous outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling and skiing in the surrounding mountains. Its proximity to Lake Geneva with direct train connections to Lausanne and Montreux makes Aigle a popular excursion destination.
