Description
On the 4.5 km detective trail, you explore Basel with Detective Badger. A treasure map guides you from checkpoint to checkpoint through the city on the Rhine. On site, you search for clues and solve a variety of puzzles. Along the way, you combine exercise, local history, and sights.
You'll pass the Kunstmuseum Basel, the St. Alban Gate, and a preserved section of the old city wall. You cross the Rhine on the "Wild Maa" ferry. You’ll also learn more about the Middle Rhine Bridge and St. Martin's Church. The trail ends at Läckerli Huus on Gerbergasse.
How the Detective Trail Works
You can choose between the digital web app or a printable treasure map. The illustrated directions guide you to each checkpoint. There, you solve the puzzles using the clues found on site.
From the correct answers, you form a four-digit code for the treasure chest. If a puzzle is difficult, you can access hints and solutions. If the weather is bad, you can postpone the trail to another day.
