Rivera
Rivera is a village in Ticino at 529 meters above sea level, located at the foot of Monte Tamaro. Here is the bottom station of the mountain railroad, which goes up to Monte Tamaro in two sections as a gondola lift. At the middle station there is a large rope park. The top station Alpe Foppa is located at 1530 meters above sea level and is served from April to the end of October. Besides a tyrolienne, there is also a summer toboggan run and a children's playground. The mountain lake offers further fun for children. Several hiking trails and bike tours can be found on Monte Tamaro and in the valley. In Rivera there is also the popular Splash and Spa Tamaro with an area of 10'000 m2. From Rivera to Quartino the historic paved path of Montecenerino leads up to Monte Ceneri.
