Lenk

Lenk is a municipality in Obersimmental-Saanen in the Bernese Oberland. The municipality is with 1068 m above sea level the highest municipality in the Simmental. The highest point is the Wildstrubel at 3244 m above sea level, which is probably one of the most beautiful valley ends in the Alps. It lies above the Siebenbrünnen. This is where the Simme, which gives its name to the Simmental, rises. The surrounding area offers great and varied leisure activities in summer as well as in winter. Whether hiking, mountain biking, trail running, rafting or any winter sport, here everyone gets his money's worth. The village with about 2000 inhabitants offers about 11000 overnight accommodations. The Adventure-Park Rufeli, the BoulderSchüür, the adventure pool Wallbach or the alpine shaft cave tour Stockhorn are examples of popular destinations around Lenk.
