About this route
Der Hartkäse «Sbrinz» wurde im späten Mittelalter zum Exportschlager der Innerschweiz auf den norditalienischen Märkten. Nicht zuletzt dank ihm entwickelte sich der Saumpfad über die Pässe Grimsel und Gries zur gut ausgebauten Handelsroute.
