The village of Gsteigwiler is located away from the big hustle and bustle at 645 m above sea level in the Bernese Oberland. In the middle of the beautiful Jungfrau region live about 400 inhabitants in a quiet location. Gsteigwiler is only 10 minutes by car from the vacation region Interlaken and about 15 minutes by car from the lakes Brienz and Thun. In the valley of Gsteigwiler flows the Lütschine. Furthermore, the village is located at the foot of the Schynigen Platte, which is the starting point of one of the most beautiful high-altitude hikes in Switzerland.
