Easy snowshoe tour to the Wetterhorn

Starting from Grindelwald, you’ll hike through the mountain terrain with snowshoes for about 2 to 2.5 hours. The snowshoes make walking much easier. Along the way, you’ll enjoy stunning views of the Wetterhorn, the upper Grindelwald Glacier, the First ski area, and the Schynige Platte.

At the Ischboden mountain hut, you can visit the Alpine Bird Park. The view of the Eiger’s north face is breathtaking. The tour ends at the Wetterhorn parking lot, where you’ll then be driven back to Interlaken.

Practical information:

• Bring: ski gloves, ski or winter hiking trousers and jacket, a camera, drinks, sunscreen, and sunglasses
• If you’re travelling a long distance, please notify the organiser after booking. This is important in case weather-related cancellations or changes are necessary.
• The main language is English. The guides also speak at least one other language such as German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, etc.

The following conditions exclude participation:

• Eye surgery
• High blood pressure
• Chronic ear diseases with balance disorders
• Heart problems
• Epilepsy
• Increased cardiovascular risk
• Neurological issues
• Whiplash injury
• Pregnancy

Full capacity and legal age:

• Minors must provide a written consent form from a legal guardian
• Must not be under the influence of any drugs, alcohol, psychotropic drugs, or other medication that could impair consciousness or reaction ability.

Damages, accidents, illnesses:

• Insurance against illness and accidents is the responsibility of the participant
• No liability for personal items such as cameras, glasses, sunglasses, etc.
• No claims, including compensation demands, against the organizer unless the accident or damage results from intent or gross negligence by the organizer.
