Think of Half Fare and GA
Many railways give a discount with a Half Fare card, GA or Swiss Travel Pass. If the recipient has a travelcard, a smaller amount buys the same ride.

Or any of 3'200+ other experiences.
With the mountain railway voucher you gift a trip up the mountain without committing to a summit. It works for the Jungfraujoch, Pilatus, Titlis, Rigi, Gornergrat and many more railways across Switzerland – and for all of our other 3'200+ experiences. The recipient picks the mountain and the day, for 2 years.
A railway's own voucher usually only works with that operator. Ours isn't tied to any railway: if the recipient would rather ride up the Stanserhorn than Pilatus, they simply book that. Any remaining balance stays for the next trip.
Ranked by real bookings from the last 12 months.
Tickets to summits all over Switzerland – each one can also be gifted on its own.

So the day on the mountain works out.

Before 10 am and after 2 pm, the Jungfraujoch, Pilatus and co. are noticeably quieter. Outside the summer holidays it stays more relaxed.
The voucher can be split across several bookings: Harder Kulm in spring, Gornergrat in summer.
The railways on this page start from CHF 7; around half cost less than CHF 41 per person. Short funiculars sit at the lower end, the Jungfraujoch at the top – with a Half Fare card or GA, many tickets cost less.
