Visp is located in the Upper Valais valley at the entrance to the Vispertal. It lies at the foot of the highest vineyard in Europe, which creates a true picture-book panorama around the town. Here the Vispa river flows into the Rotten. The town is considered a perfect starting point for all nature and culture lovers. The surrounding countryside offers great opportunities for active vacationers and well-known cities such as Zermatt, Leukerbad and Saas Fee can be reached in no time. Visp itself is characterized by a large number of Roman Catholic chapels and churches.
