Rental:

• pickup from 8:00 am in the village center of Grindelwald
• early pickup possible from 15:00 hrs the day before (availability not guaranteed, please check with provider in advance)
• return before 10:00 a.m. next day at Grindelwald village center
• if returned after 10:00 a.m., a full day's rent will be charged

In recent years, snowshoeing has become increasingly popular. By walking slowly in the snow you experience nature particularly intensively. Accompanied by peace and balance, you can enjoy the snowy landscape of the Bernese Oberland to the fullest.

Rental period: You can rent the snowshoes for the whole day.

Pick up: You can pick up your snowshoes in the center of Grindelwald right next to the train station

There are different levels of difficulty for snowshoe tours. With increasing terrain and difficulty you need more condition. It is recommended to start with an easy tour if you don't know where you stand conditionally.

Aspen Trail

• Height difference: 560 meters up, 50 meters down
• Difficulty: Difficult
• Distance: 4.3 km
• Hiking time: 2.5 hours

With the glide step you can go faster downhill with the snowshoes. You do this by getting slightly supine, bending your knees and sliding down. The more you lean back, the faster you get.

• Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 18:30
• Saturday, Sunday, public holiday from 08:00 to 18:00

• Bring: weatherproof clothing, mountain boots or winter hiking boots, hat, gloves, sun protection and possibly gaiters
• If available: Take ski poles with you
