About this place
The permanent exhibition guides young and old through local nature. The different aspects of the environment are linked into a fascinating whole. The main themes of the exhibition are: local habitats with their animals and plants, landscape development, minerals and rocks, models of our mountains, stories from the history of the Earth (including fossils from the Posidonia shale in southern Germany and from the Elgg molasse coal) and folkloric souvenirs on the Klipper Ida Ziegler.
