About this place
In the 18th century, gardens were laid out on the site of today's city park, and small weekend or summer houses provided accommodation. The slim «Barockhäuschen» dates from that period. In the 60s, today's city park came into being as part of a design competition. Various rare trees make the city park special. You can find American giant sequoias here, a cut-leaved beech, a true sugar maple and rare horse chestnuts.
