Advanced Lower Canyoning from Cresciano

This canyoning tour takes you into the lower Nala Gorge in the Val Osogna. It ranks among the more challenging sections of this long canyoning route in Ticino. You’ll encounter narrow passages, white gneiss, clear water, and several abseil points.

The canyon starts with a 30 m abseil into the deep gorge. After that, more abseils follow through the tight parts of the canyon. A highlight is a 45 m abseil directly in the water jet.

In the final section, the gorge gradually widens. There you can optionally take a 15 m long slide and jump up to 12 m. The tour ends at the well-known Pozzon d Osogna.

• Hypoallergenic neoprene wetsuit (2-piece; pants and jacket) with hood
• Canyoning shoes and hypoallergenic neoprene socks
• Canyoning harness and two self-locking devices with screw gate carabiners
• Rockfall-tested helmet

• Swimwear (swim shorts, swimsuit, bikini)
• Towel
• For climbing and colder temperatures, or if you generally feel cold, you can wear snug functional underwear, ski underwear, or similar, which you can also wear under the wetsuit. IMPORTANT: It should be made of synthetic fibers or merino (not cotton, as it cools rather than warms).
• Change of clothes for after the tour
• Any necessary medication for you (asthma spray, allergy medicine, etc.)
• Food/drink for before/after
• Sunscreen (waterproof)
