Description
Fulfil a dream and climb a 4000-metre summit together with a guide. On this tour, whether you’re a pro or a beginner, you can enjoy the stunning alpine surroundings and experience the incredible feeling of standing on a 4000er.
The Breithorn has 5 summits: Breithorn Occidentale (4164 m above sea level), Breithorn Centrale (4159 m), Breithorn Zwillinge, and Schwarzfluh (4075 m). This ridge runs from west to east. Breithorn Occidentale is the highest peak and also the easiest to climb.
On the standard Breithorn route, your guide will lead you over rocks and stones. You’ll cross the Breithorn Pass and the Breithorn Plateau, both above 3000 metres. Here you’ll also find Europe’s highest ski slope. In winter, a lovely descent via the Schwarztor awaits you.
The Breithorn can be climbed on foot in summer and winter, and with skis in winter. After about 3 to 4 hours, the tour ends and you’ll take the cable car back to Zermatt together again in summer. In winter, you will ski down.
