Description

Experience absolute tranquility and a magnificent view of the Matterhorn on a guided hike through the lost valley above Zermatt. You will meet your mountain guide at the Sunnegga valley station in Zermatt. Here he will explain everything you need to know for the hike.

After the ride with the cable car to the Sunnegga station, the round hike to the lost valley starts. The 250 m long lost valley is nowhere signposted and only good map readers or people with a guide will find this enchanting place. Enjoy the seclusion while you are here where time stands still.

In this valley there is a unique flora discover the rare plants on the lateral moraines and mountain grasses. A perfect spot to take some photos. Here you can also photograph the Matterhorn in the background at the end of the valley or from the side moraine the view into the green valley with river meander. In the afternoon, after the hike, take the train back to Zermatt from the Sunnegga mountain station.
