Good to know, from official information and the press
- Leave the car at home: There’s no parking in Adelboden on race weekend. Take the train to Frutigen or park at the P+R Reichenbach (CHF 15 per day) and board the World Cup shuttle, which runs non-stop to the finish area in around 40 to 45 minutes and is included in the ticket. Source
- Arrive early and wait in the World Cup village over coffee and a croissant instead: The pubs are busy hours before the first run, and shortly before the start the grandstand and platforms are full. Source
- For the cauldron atmosphere, stand in the finish arena below the steep finish slope; the grandstand ticket is also standing only. If you’d rather have a picnic, get a Chäla ticket: The zone is at the entry to the finish slope, with a big screen. Source
- You may only bring fondue or raclette into the Chäla, and a burner only with fuel paste; gas is banned. Source
- Leave your own alcohol at home: You can’t take any alcohol into the World Cup area, and at most 0.5 litres of non-alcoholic drink in PET or a Tetra Pak. Bring ID, otherwise you won’t get a +18 wristband and therefore neither beer nor access to the party tents. Source
- Buy your tickets online early, as there are no box offices on the day, and the Saturday giant slalom was sold out in advance in 2022 and 2023. At the slalom on Sunday, things are more relaxed beside the piste, and there’s a Family Day with a family area in the grandstand. Source
