Lodrino Inferiore Canyoning for Experienced from Cresciano

This canyoning tour takes you through the Lodrino Inferiore near Cresciano. The gorge is one of the striking canyons in Ticino and impresses with clear water, white gneiss, and towering rock walls. Along the way, you’ll find many optional jumps, numerous slides, and stunning sections in a narrow water landscape.

Shortly after starting, the first jumps begin. Afterwards, varied stretches follow, where adrenaline and focused movement accompany you through the gorge. A waterfall up to 50 m high is one of the defining features of this tour.

This tour is designed for experienced canyoners who can move confidently in challenging terrain. Independent rappelling in water, height, and overcoming smaller spots by jumping and sliding are all part of this adventure.

• Anti-allergy neoprene suit (2-piece; pants and jacket) with hood
• Canyoning shoes and anti-allergy neoprene socks
• Canyoning harness and two self-belay devices with screw-lock carabiners
• Helmet tested for rockfall protection

• Swimwear (swim shorts, swimsuit, bikini)
• Towel
• For climbing or colder temperatures, or if you generally feel cold, you can wear close-fitting functional underwear, ski underwear, or similar that you can also wear under the wetsuit. IMPORTANT: It should be made of synthetic fiber or merino wool (not cotton, as cotton cools rather than warms).
• Change of clothes for after the tour
• Medications you need (asthma spray, allergy medication, etc.)
• Food/drinks for before/after
• Sunscreen (waterproof)

• Minimum age: about 16 years when accompanied by adults
• Minimum of 2 participants required
• Required: excellent swimming skills, good overall health, high fitness level, sure-footedness, and no fear of heights
• Necessary: experience in abseiling and canyoning
• Bring: swimwear, towel, change of clothes, and any necessary medication
• Canyon, start time, and requirements may be adjusted due to weather conditions
• Remove jewellery and piercings before the tour
• Avoid wearing cotton fabrics
