What does the Geneva region offer?
The Geneva region is the smallest of the 13 tourist regions in Switzerland. It is largely surrounded by France. In addition to the city of Geneva and a southwestern part of Lake Geneva, the region also includes several small towns around the Rhone River and several vineyards. Geneva is the cradle of watchmaking. A symbol of this is the "l`horloge Fleuri ", which means "flowering clock", in the English Garden. The city of Geneva has a wide range of cultural opportunities. What are the cultural offerings in Geneva?
Geneva has some very interesting museums, including a watch museum with about 4500 exhibits. The "Musée International d'Horlogerie" (MIH) also offers some experiments for the visitors. In addition, watchmakers can be observed during restoration work. Also the Patek Philippe Museum offers watch movements with collections from the last 500 years
