There’s plenty for visitors to discover in Lichtensteig. For example, Fredy’s Mechanisches Musikmuseum is right in town. From tiny music boxes to orchestrions, you can explore all kinds of mechanical musical instruments.

The Gall'sche Offizin at Hintergasse 9 is another gem. Printing is still done on the ground floor of the “Schmalzhaus”, just as it was in the old days. It opens for three hours from 1 pm on the last Saturday of every month.

A former telephone box at the Obertor bus stop has been turned into a mini-museum, with changing exhibits. And there’s also Erlebniswelt Toggenburg, with hundreds of model trains in 1:45 scale spread across 500 m².
