Ticket for Vallorbe Caves

With your admission ticket you visit the Grottes de Vallorbe in the Vaud Jura. You follow a marked circuit for about an hour, passing through several sections of the caves. The path runs along the underground Orbe River.

You’ll see various stalactite and stalagmite formations and large rock chambers. In the 'Treasure of the Fairies' area, minerals from around the world are on display. At the end you can enjoy a light-and-sound show in the cave's largest hall.

You can also admire the Orbe above ground near the Vallorbe Caves. The Orbe rises directly near Vallorbe at the so-called Source de l'Orbe, where it emerges from a rock face. In the Vallorbe area it flows through a broad valley and is visible in the village. There are hiking trails above and below the caves where you can follow the river's course and enjoy the scenery along the Orbe.
