Description
If you take the rotating gondola from Sattel to Mostelberg, you'll enjoy an impressive panorama. You can see the Central Swiss Alps including Mythen, Rigi, and Pilatus. From the mountain station, you can see Lake Lauerz.
Alternatively, you can hike to the restaurant if you wish. A direct trail leads from the valley station of the "Stuckli Rondo" cable car in Sattel village up to Mostelberg along comfortable, well-marked paths. The ascent can be steep at times but is suitable for families and takes about 1:00 to 1:30 hours.
At the mountain inn, you'll be served breakfast. After eating, you can let your children play in "Rondo's Children's World" or go for a hike.

Rondo's Children's World
Rondo's Children's World (fee applies) is a spacious outdoor play area directly at Mostelberg mountain station. Children up to 11 years old can enjoy various bouncy castles and trampolines. There is also a tobogganing and tubing slide here.
Hiking trails from Mostelberg
The Engelstock loop is a popular panoramic trail with views of the Mythen, across alpine meadows, and through forests. Ideal for families too.

The Geissä Wäg is a family-friendly experience trail with informational signs about goats and life on the mountain. It offers plenty of shade and lovely resting spots.

The Hochstuckli summit loop is a varied pre-Alpine route with a summit climb and fantastic views of the Mythen, Rigi, and other Central Swiss Alps.

The Panorama Trail via Mostelegg runs from Mostelberg over the panoramic ridge via Mostelegg with spectacular views. The return route goes over alpine pastures, partly through forests to Mostelberg.

Traveling with wheelchair or stroller
- The gondola is wheelchair and stroller accessible
- At the mountain station, you can rent a sturdy, all-terrain "Multidrive Wheelchair." It is suitable for the Engelstock loop.
Swiss Activities Tip
If you want to hike the Geissä Wäg, you can pick up a Geissä booklet for each child at the mountain station. It contains a colouring activity, a treasure hunt for the solution word, and an explanation of the entire "Geissä Wäg." Each station features a puzzle to solve. Those who find the solution word can participate in a competition.
